Lazarus, A Second Chance

When a dog rescuer heard about an emaciated pig wandering the streets, he decided to rescue him. Lazarus had loose skin hanging from his body, skin issues, and severely overgrown hooves. After neighborhood dogs attacked him, the rescuer realized he couldn’t provide the specialized care a pig needed, so he drove five hours to bring him to Endless Sunshine Animal Sanctuary. There were a couple times the team wasn’t sure Lazarus would survive. They named him Lazarus because it felt like he’d been given a second chance.
