Ducky's Healing Journey

Ducky came to Good Life Refuge after a predator attack left her beak damaged beyond repair. Unable to eat without assistance and underweight from a lack of proper care, she faced an uncertain future. But Ducky’s spirit and determination made it clear that she still wanted to live. With patience, compassion and specialized care, the team at Good Life Refuge slowly helped Ducky return to a healthy weight. Because she cannot eat independently, she continues to receive several tube feedings each day using a high-nutrient mash. Today, Ducky is thriving with her new flock. She is spunky, full of life and a powerful reminder of what is possible when an animal is given the care and opportunity to heal.
